Introduction: Jesus-Wiki would like to offer users to read the whole Bible in several translations. For now, the Bible namespace has been reserved for Bible translations. However, importing Bible verses by hand would be very time consuming and not necessary. The aim of this project is to find an easier way to import and quote Bible verses. In the past, several attempts have been mead to solve this problem - or at least a part of it. Of what I have seen so far, no Christian wiki has found a final solution. If you are interested in helping us, please add your name to the participants list on the right and off we go! Problems to solve Importing the Bible How do we want to do it? Use MediaWiki's built in XML import feature? Program an extension? Use a bot? There must be a better way than to import all verses by hand! Please discuss here. Navigating through the Bible This is closely related to the Bible import, as it would be great if the navigation were be implemented as the Bible is imported, so the navigation doesn't have to be added manually. Please discuss here. Quoting Bible verses Should we use templates? Should we use an extension? How do we solve the problem of abbreviations? What if people spell book names in different ways (happens often in German, e.g. Ijob, Hiob, Job)? How should the quotes link back to the "original" verse? Please discuss here.
